Children's Summer Brights!

I have played with my bird design to create children's patterns in tropical brights for the Summer... Makes me want the sunshine to come out already! Imagine these patterns on a  girl's summer dress...so tweet!

Pastel patterns for children...

I have been designing a few patterns aimed at the children/baby market for a little project, the bunny design below is quite simple but I think its a really cute design that would make gorgeous wrapping paper for new baby gifts etc. The pastel bird stamp pattern at the bottom is a drawing you will probably recognise from previous designs but I thought it would make a lovely design for an older girl on bedding and bedroom accessories. I had fun playing with the pastel colours, which are really on trend for Spring/Summer.

Design Feature on Rachael Taylor's blog

I have now completed Module 2 of The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design, with Rachael Taylor and Beth Nicholls. Towards the end of the module we had the opportunity to submit one of our favourite pieces of work from the module. I was lucky enough to have my 'Flight of Paradise' design featured on Rachael's blog. The support Rachael and Beth provide is amazing, and I'm so grateful for it. The course has been brilliant so far, crammed full of amazing inspiration and technical skills to take me through my design career...
Roll on Module 3!
